Anyone who imagines living on one of the Grand Designs platforms may only have a chance because one feature featured in the 2005 episode is on the market.
The winding seashell house from a 2005 episode of the popular Channel 4 show is up for sale, and those with £1.45 million could get their hands on the keys soon.

The quirky four-bed property turned heads 17 years ago thanks to its pale pink exterior, unusual curves, and spiral staircase.
Pat Baker built the excavations on the grounds at the back of her home in Sheldon, Devon, based on a design inspired by his seaside location.
Since the quaint and quaint home appeared on Grand Designs, it has remained under the ownership of the same family, but now it’s up and running.
In its listing, real estate agents Bradleys of Shaldon made it clear that they hope to cash in on the celebrity’s past, writing: “As featured in the popular Channel 4 series of Grand Designs.”
They added: “Built in 2005, echoing a seashell design, this modern coastal property is located in a prime location in Sheldon, in the exclusive neighborhood of Horse Lane.
“The Garden House is nestled between the expansive Botanical Gardens and Ness Lawns, and offers gorgeous estuary and coastal views.”
When the house appeared on the show, Kevin McCloud commented, “It’s like being in Miami or the Mediterranean.”
Never shy about expressing his true thoughts about the property, the presenter added: “This place is very quirky – there are parts I really like and others I don’t.”
Even if Kevin hates bits, there’s sure to be plenty to love, including a living space with double-height windows, an exposed wood ceiling, and a bright conservatory.
Then there’s the outdoor space, where the home has many secluded balconies and gardens – not to mention easy access to the gorgeous Devon coast.
The zigzag seashell house is definitely a must – at least, for someone who can raise money!
