That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime (TenSura) is getting a theatrical film, with a new trailer for the movie showcasing a brand new character.
When it comes to Isekai (reincarnation) anime, the global community is in agreement that there is a vast library of series that are available for fans online. However, it can be quite difficult to discern which of these series is worth your time.
One series that should be on the watch-list of any Isekai anime is the fantastic That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime series, also known as TenSura. The show aired its second television season last year to a fabulous global reception, but fans are already chomping at the bit for more Slimey-content.
Thankfully, a brand new trailer for the upcoming That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime anime movie has now been shared online, showcasing a November 2022 release window and a brand new character.
Reincarnated as a Slime anime is heading to the theater
Shortly after the second season of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime (TenSura) concluded in Japan, it was announced that a theatrical film was in the works.

Alongside the announcement, the series’ official Japanese Twitter page shared a short preview trailer, see below. It was then revealed that the film would be titled “That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime: Guren no Kizuna Hen“,” translated to “Scarlet Bonds” and that the movie would be a completely new work for the franchise.
The movie will center around a new country called Razha, which is reportedly located to the west of Tempest. Per Anime News Network, Rimuru hears about a long-running conspiracy about a girl with mysterious powers, but they also encounter another ogre survivor called Hiiro, “who used to hold Benimaru in high regard.”

Reincarnated as a Slime movie release date
When the theatrical movie for the That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime (TenSura) franchise was announced, the post was accompanied by news that a Fall 2022 premiere was being targeted.
On March 3rd2022, the series’ Japanese website then released the latest trailer for the upcoming movie, see below.
As part of the trailer, it was finally revealed that the upcoming That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime: Guren no Kizuna Hen would premiere in November 2022.
However, fans should note that this November 2022 release window will only concern the premiere in Japanese theatres.
The film will likely release internationally between four and eight weeks after the domestic opening in Japan, although the specific premiere date has not yet been confirmed.

That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime (TenSura) was first published as a light novel series, with its first volume releasing in May 2014.
The good news is that a manga adaptation was then produced and released in English in association with Penguin Random House.
The manga series has sold more than 25 million copies worldwide as of May 2021.
Fans can purchase physical copies of the manga series through Amazon, Barnes & Noble, BAM, Bookshop, Hudson Booksellers, IndieBound, Powell’s, Target and Walmart amongst other outlets.
Several spin-off series have also been produced since the main storyline’s publication, The Ways of the Monster Nation, How Monsters Walk, Again as a Workaholic Slime and The Slime Diaries – the latter of which was also adapted for television in 2021.
