The anime series premiered in early-January to a reception, which is pushing the original manga series to new heights; now selling more than 5 million physical copies!

My dress-Up Darling manga passes a new milestone
The My-Dress Up Darling manga series recently passed a new milestone, barring to the launch of the extremely popular anime series on Crunchyroll and Funimation.
According to Aniplex, via AnimeNewsNetwork, the manga has now sold more than 5 million physical copies worldwide!
This is 1.5 million copies higher than the sales reported at the start of 2022, before the anime series had premiered on January 8th.
The series is written by Shinichi Fukada and is serialised by the Square Enix publishers, running in the Young Gangan Comics magazine in Japan.
My Dress-Up Darling released its first chapter back in January 2018, with a total of eight complete manga volumes being published in Japan as of February 2022.
Author Fukada reacted to the new milestone on social media, tweeting that “The cumulative total has exceeded 5 million copies. Thank you to everyone who purchased it!”
Where to read the My Dress-Up Darling manga
Whilst the My Dress-Up Darling manga series has launched eight volumes in Japan, the English translations are lagging slightly behind the domestic release.
At the time of writing, only four of those eight volumes are available to purchase in English, with volume 5 set to release in April 2022 and volume 6 in August 2022.
Physical volumes of the manga can be purchased through Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Books-A-Million and Indigo.
Fans can also read the manga online through various digital platforms, also from Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Books-A-Million and Indigo.
The anime continues to lead the Winter slate
In a season dominated by the likes of Attack on Titan and Demon Slayer, one of the most-talked-about anime series of 2022 remains My Dress-Up Darling.
The series is currently scoring a fantastic 8.3/10 on IMDB, 4.8/5 on Crunchyroll and 8.32/10 on MyAnimeList, with almost 100,000 reviews from fans worldwide!
Moreover, the anime has been voted as the best-rated series of the Winter slate for four of the past five weeks on the Anime Trending website.
