About this role:
A New York based firm is looking to expand its interior design practice and is looking for an aspiring designer with high-end residential experience to join an excellent team of creative professionals. The ideal candidate will be looking to take the next step in their career and have a keen eye for inspired, refined design.
Basic tasks:
- Oversee FF&E specifications for all soft and hard materials/finishes, project schedules, management, and coordination.
- Demonstrate strong communication skills and confidence in client interaction and coordination with external consultants and partners.
- Collaborate with a growing team of architects and clients/partners worldwide in all aspects of residential and hospitality projects to ensure a coherent and compelling vision.
- Develop interior design portfolio and practice portfolio.
Skills and Experience:
- BFA in Interior Design or a Master’s degree in a related field.
- At least 6-8 years of professional experience in the field of interior design or interior architecture.
- Knowledge of showrooms, vendors and the latest high-end furniture and lighting designs offered in the industry.
- Experiment with custom furniture drawings and details.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Photoshop and InDesign is preferred but not required in the Creative Candidate with a vision.
- Genuine interest and passion for design, art and architecture.
- Adopt a collaborative and open practice culture.
- Enthusiastic, flexible and curious.
