Local jewelry design mogul, Larissa Lodin, is moving up – in her own storefront. Louden purchased a 12,000-square-foot building in St. Paul’s Merriam Park and partnered with Betsy Vohs of Studio BV to turn it into a production and execution facility and storefront for her jewelry collections.
The space will boast a mural by local artist Ashley Marie, clean lines and architecture, and the brand’s iconic modular shapes. “But it will feel more polished,” says Lowden. “The brand is going down this path – as bigger, so is the brand.”
Of course, in true Loden style, she plans to use her space as a platform for other female- and non-binary-owned businesses. I want to put more money in women’s pockets. At the end of the day, when women have more money, everyone does better,” says Lowden.
In addition to its namesake jewelry and accessories line, Loden showcases eye-catching brands from other cities that people may not yet know about — Austin’s The Burlap bag, L.A.’s The Good Twin — and items from some of her favorite Dutch and Scandinavian designers.

A hidden gem worth visiting on your next shopping trip? Jane Niles Jenny is in town (4704 Cedar Ave. S., Mpls.), urban chic clothing and footwear (from brands like KUT and Steve Madden), accessories, boutique beauty products, and artisan jewelry. Choose our products? Nylin’s “Be a kind Human” clothing set (because everyone can use the reminder once in a while). After that, go to Jenny’s at the sister shop of Whittier Town, empty inside (23 E. 26th St., Mpls.), an eccentric oasis of gifts – Nylin’s focus is on goodies you can get, home décor, and greeting cards that, aptly, are completely blank on the inside for nearly every person and occasion.
