where: Jesse bought her simple 1930s home in a historically preserved area of ​​Los Angeles just over a year ago. Since living in a historic home faced a unique set of challenges due to conservation laws, I focused on decorating the space with second-hand pieces and art I made with friends, rather than making major changes to the architectural structure.

Inspiration and aesthetic: Jesse’s favorite part of her house is the living room. “I grew up around Spanish-style homes in Miami,” she explains. “When I moved to Los Angeles, I lived in a loft downtown, and it took me nearly 10 years to make it feel comfortable and discover an interior design style that I really loved for the house. I’ve always been inspired by architecture and design, not just interiors.” Jesse visited Italy several times and immediately fell in love with culture and history – and decided to decorate her home with that in mind. “It’s one of my biggest influences—a calm, relaxed mindset mixed with my obsession with the chaos and pace of New York. Aesthetically, I’m drawn to the cohesive and simple spaces in which you live,” she says.

square footage: The living room itself is approximately 500 square feet with 10-foot ceilings. Jesse became fascinated with the room when she first saw it because of the windows on almost every wall and the fireplace.
