All interns (fellowers, postdoctoral researchers, junior faculty, residents, research assistants, etc.) interested in Alzheimer’s disease and related dementia (ADRD) are invited to attend the inaugural ADRD IDEAS Forum to be held monthly by the Duke-UNC Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center. The forum will be geared towards early-career investigators from Duke, UNC-CH, ECU, NCCU and UNC-Pembroke.
All interns (fellows, postdocs, junior faculty, residents, research partners, etc.) interested in Alzheimer’s disease and dementia-related (ADRD) are invited to attend the inaugural meeting of the ADRD IDEAS Forum To be held monthly by Duke-UNC ADRC.
UNU Neuroscience Professor Gwen Garden, MD, will be the guest speaker for the first forum session scheduled for Tuesday, January 25 at 4:30 PM EST via Zoom.
Alzheimer’s Disease Science Interaction and Discussion Forum (IDEAS):
- The Ideas Forum is a dynamic, trainee-oriented series sponsored by Duke/UNC ADRC to stimulate Alzheimer’s disease research among early-career researchers from Duke, UNC-CH, ECU, NCCU, and UNC-Pembroke.
- The Ideas Forum content, which occurs monthly, is varied and includes: presentations of work in progress, magazine club-style review of recent publications, guest lectures, feedback on grant proposals, and career development presentations.
- Trainees at all levels will be given the opportunity to help select topics/speakers, and design the format of upcoming sessions (monthly sessions may expand to occur more frequently if desired).
- The IDEAS Forum is open to participants of all levels of training, from undergraduates to junior faculty, interested in research on Alzheimer’s disease and related dementia. Researchers in related fields interested in expanding on AD research are particularly encouraged to participate.
