The interiors of Alsace LA by Home Studios capture the energy of SoCal
Located in West Adams, Los Angeles, Alsace LA features interiors and furniture by Home Studios, inspired by Bauhaus and Mediterranean architecture.
The West Adams neighborhood of Los Angeles may not have the name as well as other areas of the city, but the recently opened Alsace LA Hotel adds to the area’s already significant standing. Known for its historic architecture and being one of Los Angeles’ oldest neighborhoods, West Adams also boasts a thriving dining scene and a range of unique retail destinations, it’s also home to a thriving art and music scene.
Against this vibrant and vibrant backdrop, the 48-room Alsace LA Hotel has all the hallmarks of fixtures that will soon be cherished. Developed by CIM Group, the hotel was designed by NMDA Group Architects, with interiors by Home Studios. Inspired by the gestural curves of Bauhaus, white oak floors and ceilings are infused with terracotta plaster, patterned textures, warm wood accents, and custom-designed antique furniture to create an exciting and sensual atmosphere that captures the eclectic essence of Los Angeles.

The courtyard at the Alsace LA hotel features “Vimini” sofas by Kettal and “Bubble” armchairs by Casa Design Group. The tables are specially designed with metal mesh bottoms and concrete tile tops
Guests enter first through a Mediterranean-style portico, where a green inner courtyard allows natural light to pass through each of the hotel’s three floors. Each of the guest rooms features handcrafted details, with larger rooms accompanied by balconies or terraces, a custom-designed dining table, and a custom pull-out sofa.
Home Studios was responsible for designing many of the elements within the room, including upholstered headboards, bamboo and wood wardrobes, and carved brass hooks that transport guests together away into another world.

Home Studios’ residential-style approach to interior design continues in the hallway’s basement, where a tile mural, produced in collaboration with local artist Lukas Geronimas Giniotis, draws on the themes of ancient mosaic art with its resting forms, abstract landscapes of animals and architecture. classic. All of the artist’s tile motifs reference the use of space throughout the hotel’s public spaces: Divers appear near the pool exit, while characters play near the gym. §
