1. Samford Art
Whether you prefer performance or the visual arts, Samford Arts has a full schedule of fun and inspiring events. Here are some of the events you’ll want to attend:
- The sum of our parts: the gallery of the College of Art and Design– Jan. 13-Feb. 3: This event features the work of Samford’s professors of art and design. You can expect art from the departments of Studio Art, Graphic Design, Game Design, and Architecture and Interior Design.
- Pianist Misha Dichter-Jan. 25Pianist Mischa Dichter will perform at Brock Recital Hall.
- Laramie Project – February. 3-6: Thespians this is for you. Watch this theatrical performance covering documentary interviews, court recordings and personal journals of real-life events.
2. AIEVA-UAB
Heal Your Soul By Attending Lily Reeves’ between futures contracts An exhibition at the Abroms-Engel Institute of Visual Arts. This Birmingham-born artist collides with neon art. This is something you don’t want to miss.
3. Canary exhibition
The Canary Fair is a promoted event space Good art for good people. Stop by their event space to enjoy art made by local painters, sculptors, and more.

4. Studio 2500
The Studio hosts 2,500 Art For Justice Days, a drawing day for children ages 9 and up. Come to create inspiring art about justice with local artists. The event is free and everyone is welcome, whether or not you have any drawing skills.
5. Wine
Wine, dine and see fine art in the English Village. Reserve your table on Vino’s outdoor patio for an elegant night of wine tasting and art appreciation. In addition to the patio overlooking the English Village, you can experience a functional art gallery with beautiful artwork on display.
6. Studio by Tracks
Find the collection of artwork done by people on the autism spectrum at Studio By The Tracks. Located in what used to be a tiny house, this little shop is a magical experience for local art lovers. Support your community and visit them soon!
7. Space One Eleven
On January 21 at 5:30 p.m., head to Studio One Eleven to celebrate 35 years of making art. Participate in the history of state-owned enterprises in promoting social justice through the visual arts. Some of the artists who will be exhibiting will be attending, so this is your chance to make connections in the Birmingham art scene.
8. Blue Frog Exhibition
If you are a fan of regional art, stop by Blue Phrog. They have a variety of pottery, jewelry and paintings from local artists. This show is all about sharing, so don’t be a stranger.
