Sartell – A new car wash coming to Sartell.
During Monday’s city council meeting, the council approved a 4-1 conditional use permit for Mr. Karuach to be built in the River Oaks development.

The proposed car wash has been the subject of discussion for months from nearby homeowners worried about this type of facility in their backyard.
Diane And Jim Brigelman The project has been opposed for the past several months. During the public hearing on the matter, both of them again expressed their frustration with the car wash coming into their area.
We do not plan to move, and we have the right not to move. We like to be considered as important as everyone else and at the moment I don’t feel like that.
The self-service car wash location is an enclosed building of 6,472 square feet that will include 28 parking lots/emptying areas and operates daily from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
Luke Keatley He is the Operations Manager for Mister Carwash. He says they have many facilities in the residential neighborhoods and are doing their best to reduce noise and disturbance to the surrounding homes.
The loudest generation of noise is the blower that dries out your car. What we did was bring these blowers 15 feet into the building, with additional equipment to help dampen some of the noise as well.
Several council members have addressed previous concerns about this project, but after seeing the dedication the developer took to making sure the best interest of the neighboring residents was met, they were very impressed.
board member Jeff Kolb It was the only vote. He says that while the developer has followed all city codes and guidelines, it is frustrating to see the place behind the house when other areas of the property are available.
The car wash will be the first development along the Oaks Lynn River, which was rezoned from residential to commercial back in May.
