Long-time resident of Rogers City, Phyllis May Vogelheim, died unexpectedly at her winter home in Gardnerville, Nevada on January 4, 2022 at the age of 78.
She was born on October 4, 1943 in Petoskey to parents Clayton and Helen (Nash) Baker.
Phyllis was an avid skater and rider with a real talent for interior design and home decor. She found joy in being with her family, entertaining, gardening, and spending the winter in the Nevada Mountains. She was a soft-spoken woman who took pleasure in the little things in life. She loved to travel, but also enjoyed the comforts of her home in Rogers. Those close to her know that she has a great sense of humor and has taken it upon herself to keep up with the latest technology and learning opportunities. She lived her life to the fullest and touched people’s hearts with her kindness and humility. We will miss her so much because she left this earth to meet her husband John.
Phyllis is survived by her three sons, Ruby (Kristen) Vogelheim of Rogers City, Chad (Kendra) of Traverse City and Clay Vogelheim of Rogers City; six grandchildren: Heather (Luke) Ryan, Kelly Vogelheim, Thomas Vogelheim, Adam Vogelheim, Aiden Vogelheim, Cal King; One granddaughter by Amber Carsten, sisters, Doris Silk of Harbor Springs, Inez (Ted) Dom of Harbor Springs, Tami (Dave) Moore of Onway, in-laws, Rick Littrell of Mackinaw City, Mary Suzy (Guy) Robinson of Houston, Texas and Karl (Judy) Vogelheim of Commerce Township.
