Inspired by vernacular Scandinavian architecture, Elsa features warm cedar wood sides that contrast with the cool dark gray finishes on the outside. The structure includes 323 square feet of space and is built on wheels for ultimate flexibility. Inside, a high A-frame and plenty of windows make the interior feel bright and spacious. Light wood details and white finishes contribute to the feel.
Elsa is packed with hidden storage and clever space-saving tech like the bar/turntable and pull-out sofa. The kitchen includes a full-size gas range, quartz countertops, a large refrigerator, and modern finishes. The loft bedroom keeps the sleeping area private from common spaces and keeps more space in the house. All of these considerations go back to Scandinavian inspiration where functionality is paramount and aesthetics are defined by clean lines and little ornament.
Aside from its tiny 323-square-foot living space, Elsa adds an 85-square-foot trailer with a pergola-covered hammock and mini greenhouse. The color palette of these exterior elements mimics the interior, making the design consistent.
