Final Project Award for Outstanding Architecture and Design

IE School of Architecture and Design is pleased to announce its first edition of Final Awards for Outstanding Architecture and Design Project.
We are looking for the best emerging talent from around the world to join the next intake of the Master of Business Program for Architecture and Design or the Master of Strategic Interior Design.
All Bachelor’s or Master’s degrees in architecture, design, interior design, product design, graphic design, landscape design or related fields, and who graduated between 2011 and 2021 are eligible to compete for the Final Awards for Outstanding Architecture and Design Project.
Winning entries will be awarded a scholarship to pursue the IE Business Master of Architecture and Design (starting April 2022) or the Master of Strategic Interior Design (starting October 2022).
Goal:
Participants will submit a single architectural or design project completed during the final year of study in the format described below.
We know how much time, effort, and dedication you put into your final degree projects, and we want to make up for that effort in a big way.

Acceptance into the IE Master in Business for Architecture and Design or the Master in Strategic Interior Design program for the 2022-2023 academic year. Scholarship value €12,000 of the program tuition fee.
Acceptance into the IE Master in Business for Architecture and Design or the Master in Strategic Interior Design for the 2022-2023 academic year. Scholarship value 8000 Euro of the program tuition fee.
The finalists will conduct an interview with the admissions department of IE. All awards are subject to rejection by the Admissions Department if the candidate does not fit the program requirements. If any winning participant declines their award, it will be passed on to the author of the next best project to be determined by the jury.

- Jeronimo van Schindel (Advisor to the Jury) – Academic Director of the MBA in Architecture and Design
- Elvira Muñoz, Director. Head of EMEA Interior Design at AECOM and Director of the Master’s Program in Strategic Interior Design

Documents to be submitted
Each participant must submit, during the application period and before the deadline, the required documents in digital format through the competition web platform www.arquideas.net completing the data required in the registration and application forms.
Incomplete documentation will result in applications not being considered by the jury. Each participant will create an abstract for one project or final grade project, highlighting the most representative aspects of the project.
The jury will consider the architectural quality of the project, the ability of each participant to clearly convey the basic idea of the project, and the quality of the overall presentation.
The following files must be submitted:
- Two (2) vertical panels DIN A1 (594x841mm.) arranged vertically, in one *.PDF file at 300 dpi containing graphic information about the project. The contents and scale of the drawing are at the participant’s discretion and should contribute to the understanding of the project. The maximum file size is 16 MB.
- One (1) *.JPG file with a recommended maximum width of 1200 pixels (approximately 1200 x 1700 pixels) as a brief illustration of the project. This image will be used in web and browser preview and project listings and will not be evaluated by the jury.
- One (1) DIN A4 sheet in *.PDF format with a brief project description. – One (1) DIN A4 paper in *.PDF format with text explaining the motivation for entry to the IE Master in Business for Architecture and Design (MBArch) or IE Master in Strategic Interior Design (MSID).
The documents will be studied by the jury members, while the names of the participants will be kept confidential. Documents should only be identified with the identification code provided during the registration process and placed in the upper right corner of each plate or document (Example: 5APP 0123). Failure to follow this rule will result in automatic disqualification.
All texts must be in English. The finalists will conduct an interview with the admissions department of IE.
The deadline for submitting the project is until 24:00 (GMT +0:00) of the final submission date, February 1, 2022.
