Located on a private peninsula along the Pacific Ocean in Jalisco, between the cities of La Manzanilla and Barra de Navidad, Four Seasons Resort Tamarindo was designed by visionaries and experts who envisioned a resort that blends seamlessly with the unique topography of the peninsula. Queens Gardens Residence, London – to open February 2022

Perched on the crescent of mid-1800s houses in a tree-lined plaza near Lancaster Gate (in London), Inhabit Queen’s Gardens, which we teased late last year, will be an intimate boutique hotel with 159 guestrooms Upscale, combined with carefully considered social spaces. Just like its sister hotel, which shares the same city as its home, Inhabit Queen’s Gardens was created with a passion for luxury and living in a way that supports a healthy mind and body, as well as modeling responsible hospitality practices.

The LaSalle Chicago – Opening March 2022

Expect 1920s glamor and sexy interiors from inside Chicago’s highly anticipated LaSalle Hotel, which opens this spring. Located in the heart of downtown Chicago’s financial district, the hotel is a modern club-like retreat located on the top five floors of a famous historic landmark by architect Daniel Burnham. Rich in symbolism that captures the essence of time, the hotel pays homage to The Hour Glass Lounge from the old LaSalle hotel. The hotel will honor the building’s history with sensitivity by incorporating an hourglass icon brought to life through guest experiences that deliver a culture of hotel service, and promises that “a time at LaSalle Chicago is a fun time.”

ROOST Apartment Hotel, in Asher, Florida – Opening March 2022

Tampa-based real estate developer, Strategic Property Partners, has announced the imminent arrival of Asher, a dynamic and highly convenient new residential tower at 1050 Water Street in Water Street Tampa. It is expected to transform the 56-acre neighborhood “Downtown Tampa” into a walkable urban experience. In addition to offering a range of rental housing, SPP has partnered with The Method Company, to bring Tampa the first location in Florida for its high-design extended residence concept, ROOST Apartment Hotel, in Asher. Asher’s pre-letting will begin in January with a move scheduled for March, and ROOST Tampa will open on the premises in spring 2022.

Designed both inside and out by acclaimed architecture firm Morris Adjmi Architects, the building offers a nod to Tampa’s industrial history with oversized, sectional windows that maximize natural light. Asher’s luxury residences for rent will be located on the top fifteen floors of the building, while ROOST Tampa will occupy the first six floors of the apartment buildings. Asher will offer 490 carefully designed rental housing units ranging from studios to two-bedroom homes.

Virgin Hotels Edinburgh and Glasgow – Opening April 2022

The Virgin Hotels brand is ahead this year, hopping over the pond to make its mark in the cultural center of Edinburgh, closely followed by the opening of another hotel in neighboring Glasgow. Virgin Hotels Edinburgh is located in the historic India Buildings in Edinburgh’s Old Town, near The Royal Mile. The new hotel will feature 225 Grand Chamber rooms and suites: several dining and beverage outlets, including the Commons Club, the iconic cultural center of the Virgin Hotel. When reimagining the building, the design team will work to preserve its prominent elements while adding a sense of elegance and sophistication. The property promises a stunning blend of old and new to capture the uniqueness of the famous city of Edinburgh.

Just a few miles away, Virgin Hotels Glasgow will be the brand’s second Scottish hotel. The property is located at 236-246 Clyde Street, a prime downtown location. Panoramic river views will be a highlight of this location, as it overlooks the River Clyde in the heart of Glasgow’s shopping district, making it an ideal base for exploring the city. The hotel will feature 242 Grand Chamberlain rooms and suites. meeting and event space; and several dining and drinking outlets, including the signature Commons Club culinary experience, a state-of-the-art restaurant, bar and social club where guests can work and play during their time at the hotel. The Funny Library Café will also be a feature where guests can relax and socialize. Here, a variety of weird and funny books and games will surely keep the guests entertained during their stay.

Atlantis, The Royal, Dubai – Opening April 2022

It’s been a long time coming, but we finally got a sign that Atlantis, The Royal, Dubai – arguably the most anticipated hotel in the Middle East this year – is almost ready to open its majestic doors. Spread over 63 hectares, the hospitality and leisure destination will feature 795 rooms and suites within an iconic building rising above the Palm.

Lisante Cape – Opening May 2022

The spirited family behind the Lesante Group continues their mission to highlight the luxurious island of Zakynthos with the arrival of the Lesante Cape.

Located within the historic village of Akrotiri, but unique with access to a private beach, the village-style resort will feature 55 suites and 10 villas inspired by the traditional architecture of the past, while neutral colors, natural fibers, and local art will be at the heart of the soothing interior.

Epicureans will, quite literally, get a real taste of traditional cuisine at one of the three restaurants headed up by Greek culinary marvel Aggelos Bakopoulos. For those looking for total tranquility during their vacation, the Armonia Wellness Center will provide a relaxing retreat for therapies and treatments dating back to the ancient healing practices of the Mediterranean, while the Agora is the heart of the village with its craft shops, pub, and cultural museum.

WunderLocke – Sendling, Munich – Opening May 2022

Opening with the aim of revolutionizing the Bavarian capital with a hospitality concept unparalleled in the city – a first of its kind – WunderLocke will feature spacious 360 studio apartments, a large co-working area, meeting and event spaces, a workout studio and a heated outdoor pool.

In addition, the hotel will house four food and beverage destinations designed by the founders of the local Michelin-starred restaurant Moral. The new concept – Mural Farmhouse – will include an urban farm providing fresh herbs and vegetables for the farm-to-table concept, and a rooftop cocktail bar with panoramic views of the Bavarian Alps. WunderLocke is also home to several suites, which include rooftop terraces and large dining areas that can host dinner parties and business meetings.

WunderLocke will be a destination for locals, vacationers, and business travelers alike, providing a new creative hub in southwest Munich for the city’s growing stream of artists, creators and tech entrepreneurs. WunderLocke was designed by acclaimed studio Holloway Li, who also completed Bermonds Locke in London, in September 2020. The property’s apartments are peaceful, spacious and lush in design, and all feature kitchens and seating areas – a hallmark of Locke design.

Hilton Bahrain – Opening June 2022

We’ve been largely kept in the dark about the Hilton Bahrain development, but what we do know is that the Hilton Bahrain is expected to open its doors this summer. Located along Al Fateh Highway, the hotel features 348 rooms studios, one-bedroom and two-bedroom apartments with what the brand describes as “all the comforts of home” and stunning sea views from each unit’s balcony. In addition, the hotel will feature six restaurants, premium lounges, nine meeting rooms and a luxury spa.
