UPS Store took top honors at the 133rd Roses Parade on Saturday, winning the 2022 Lottery Cup for entering “Rise, Shine & Read!” A proud father rooster is shown reading to his family of chicks on a 35-foot-by-55-foot movable buoy.
The float, built by Irwindale-based Fiesta Parade Floats, illustrates the importance of literacy.
The lottery prize is awarded for the most beautiful entry that includes the design of the buoy, the display of flowers and entertainment. UPS Store also received this honor in 2019 and 2020.
