A wooden swing from Adam Cornish challenges the idea that swings should be built from flexible materials such as fabric or rope. Instead, it comes with a series of wooden straps, suspended together with a rope, with rubber members between the wooden pieces to spread them out and prevent them from rubbing against each other. Ultimately, the wooden hammock is designed to be a rest for your spine, and is inspired by this, using a series of wooden vertebrae for flexibility! The hammock is made from farm-grown Akoya plywood, making it just as strong as regular wood but with less environmental impact.
As things start to slow down a bit and everyone is looking for a way to detox the ubiquitous greenery, UENOA engineers have designed GREEN BASE, a simple structure ideal for socializing, remote work and other exciting activities. The design of the transparent structure was led by architects Yoshinori Hasegawa and Fumei Horikoshi who, at the request of the farmer, wanted to design something on the green land that would fit into the epidemic lifestyle and allow people to enjoy the activities of farmland. Like cooking vegetables harvested from the same farm or spending a warm evening after a hard day’s work. The farmer had one strict requirement for the building structure, to be “technically repeatable and inexpensive”. Thus the architects used vinyl which also doubled as a way to keep the building transparent to people sitting inside to get a clear view of the nature outside.
QubeStove’s new rotary pizza oven has a heavy-gauge stainless steel coating that sparkles with all the possibilities of different pizza pies. Heavy-gauge stainless steel looks clean and packs a punch, but it also proves the oven’s long-lasting durability and ability to retain a great deal of heat (above 1000). The high-temperature ceramic glass door allows users to inspect their food without opening the oven and covers wood fires and internal mechanics. Parsonson Architects . was created Herald Garden Studio A functional, flexible, free-standing structure that measures 183 square feet and sits in your backyard to accommodate all those growing pains! The studio has an office space, bathroom, storage space in the back, play area and a guest bed in the loft above the stairs. The loft is a private and cozy corner and has a mesh panel in the front for child/pet safety. The studio has a number of windows on the upper floor to let in natural light. Wooden beams installed in a triangular arrangement make for the structural frame and to keep costs down, the walls are covered with formaldehyde-free strand board (OSB).
