The past year has required a lot of time on the sofa, and our living rooms have become a haven for rest and relaxation. All the living rooms we featured this year have their own unique angle—from oversized sofas, mixed prints, and exploration of materials (think marble and glass) to thoughtful simplicity. Here, we present some of our favourites.

In the living room of this Paris bachelorette painting, designer Fabrizio Casiraghi referenced his heritage by looking at the work of Milanese artist Gabriella Crespi and Austrian architect Adolf Loos to create a comfortable, saturated cocoon for his client, a film agent.
