Interior designers
We’ve loved Baby Boomers for decades, the Gen X generation started moving away from us, and now millennials love our profession so much that they want to do it themselves. The enjoyment of interior design is undeniable. As a trained professional and a certified member of ASID (American Society of Interior Designers), our members have always considered the health and well-being of our clients while designing. The interior design is very robust and lively.
Interior design feeling. It’s a personal reflection of who you are, illustrated in a space. It can change life for the better, leading to a healthier existence. How can an interior designer, who has only known you for a few days or weeks, explain your needs and who you are? I always start by asking new clients, “What is your definition of luxury?” Once I give them my personal definition of how to interpret luxury, they tend to be very creative in their responses, which helps me design for them.
Interior design uses intuition and education, sure; However, gathering and synthesizing information (what we call programming) is the most important step to amplifying and personalizing your style. For large projects, programming is a must, it takes time, and I guarantee the time is well spent. Programming leads to careful planning and budgeting. You cannot set a budget without a plan.
Alternatively, if you want to do most of the work yourself, I offer Design Training. Design training is prepaid hours of design consultancy offered in 5 hour increments.
white kitchens
White kitchens are still very popular nowadays and have been popular for years. It’s neutral, safe, and has a clean, organized look. But have you ever thought what it would be like to live in one place? They have specific pros and cons. Make sure this look reflects your personality and lifestyle. Most importantly, your white kitchen shouldn’t seem out of place with the rest of your decor. Here are some guidelines and considerations:
• Define your perception of what the white kitchen is. differ greatly.
• All white cabinets can be overly reflective and need to be “floated” with a darker floor or island, so the space does not have a “floating” effect.
• Consider natural and artificial light sources. Too much reflection and light can be harsh on the eyes.
• “White” frames for everything can make the counters look messy. Maintaining the clean look you want can take a lot of effort.
• Painted white kitchens (especially lower cabinets) get dirty and crack easily. I recommend a natural wood lower cabinet with white uppers for easier maintenance.
• Elegant reflective surfaces will look like a laboratory. Add texture for a calmer result.
