Tickets go on sale December 7 for the 2022 Jefferson County Master Gardener Foundation Virtual Lecture Series. The series will take place in the form of a live webinar, and will take place over six consecutive Saturdays from January 8 to February 8. 12.
Each lecture will start from 10 am until noon and last about 90 minutes. Each event will allow time for the audience to ask questions.
The price for the entire six lecture series is $60; Single event tickets are available for $12.

The series will include:
Linda Gilkeson, entomologist, specialty consultant, trainer, and author of Backyard Bounty: The Complete Guide to Year-round Organic Gardening in the Pacific Northwest gives a January 8 presentation “Planning Your 12-Year Garden” a month.”
• Bess Bronstein, educator, landscaping consultant and ISA-certified horticultural consultant with 35 years of experience in tree planting, landscape management and garden design, presents “How to Successfully Prune Any Shrub” January 15th.
• Eric Lee-Meader, Co-Director of the Pollinator Program at the Xerces Invertebrate Conservation Society, and author of several books about bees – including “Attracting Indigenous Pollinators and Farming with Beneficial Insects” – will lecture on “Returning Pollinators: Seeding Biodiversity for Bees and Beneficial Insects” On January 22.
• Christina Pfeiffer, author of Gardening in the Pacific Northwest Month by Month: What To Do Each Month To Have a Beautiful Garden Year-round, Gardening with a Focus on Sustainable and Effective Techniques, will give a lecture on “What on Earth? Caring for Garden Soil” January 29.
• David Seabrook, Jefferson County Fire District Commissioner, Volunteer in the Emergency Management Division and Food Systems Unit, Principal Gardener, and Climate Change Activist, presents “The Growing Resilience of the Community Food System in Uncertain Times” on Feb. 5.
• James Cassidy, Oregon State University’s soil science teacher for more than 15 years—and faculty advisor for the popular OSU Organic Growers Club—presents “Mulches and Crop Rotations” Feb. 12.
