This home in Dallas was built for entertainment. The contemporary home is full of natural light, has large, open living spaces and a unique kitchen design that attracts the attention of those who love to host.
Designer, builder, and homeowner Aaron Angel said he designed the house to be a place where it’s easy to host and entertain. He said the space is large enough to accommodate a large group but comfortable enough for a small crowd or family without feeling like an empty space.
He’s always very comfortable,” Angel said.
The home consists of four bedrooms, four bathrooms, and a half bath, measuring 4,017 square feet. Completed in 2018.
The main living area has a fireplace at one end and a spacious living area, open to the kitchen and dining room. A tall wall of windows runs along one side of the space and provides a view of the courtyard and backyard.
One intentional design feature of Angle was the kitchen layout, which provides both the main kitchen (the open space of the main living room) and the catering kitchen where the mess can be made but out of sight. The main kitchen includes a sink, oven, gas range, extractor, refrigerator, and dishwasher, as well as a storage cabinet and counter space for preparing or serving food. The catering kitchen, located just behind the wall, includes a refrigerator, dishwasher, sink, two ovens, and a microwave. The catering kitchen provides extra storage and worktop space, too.
All bedrooms are on the second floor of the house. The basic suite has a vaulted ceiling, heated floors in the bathroom and a large wardrobe. The laundry room on the second floor has space for washers and dryers. The house also has an elevator for easy access between the two floors.
Outside, the house has a covered patio with a fireplace and outdoor cooking area. The swimming pool is located directly opposite the patio and is heated. The house also has a garage for four cars.
3353 Latham Drive listed for $1,189,000 by Amy Detwiler of Compass. The house is currently under contract.
