How a character dresses can reveal a lot about them and many of the most successful and confident characters tend to dress well \u2014 others are a bit of a slob.<\/p>\n

Another notable fashion trend in anime is for characters to wear robes, whether they wear those robes all the time or simply put them on as a costume now and then. These stylish anime characters are all known for wearing robes and there’s a lot more to like about them, too.<\/p>\n

10<\/span> Schierke Wears Witch Robes & A Hat (Berserk)<\/h2>\n

The young witch named Schierke appears partway through Berserk<\/em> and in the original manga series, she makes her debut early in the Millennium Falcon story arc, after Griffith has been reborn. She is a smart but aloof magic user who is very close to her mentor, the elderly Flora.<\/p>\n

Schierke didn’t like Guts that much at first, but they learned to get along and now Schierke is a vital member of Guts’ ever-growing band of adventurers. She even protected an entire town from nasty trolls, though she nearly lost control of herself in the process.<\/p>\n

Fruits Basket’s <\/em>Shigure Sohma is the dog of the Chinese zodiac, though he rarely transforms in this famed shojo series. He was also one of the first Sohmas whom protagonist Tohru Honda ever met, and she lived in his house for many months as her zodiac adventure began.<\/p>\n

Shigure is a goofy and lazy author who likes to dress in traditional Japanese robes most of the time, though he might sometimes appear in a business suit. Shigure may seem silly, but he also has a serious side that can take viewers by surprise \u2014 especially where Akito is concerned.<\/p>\n

Now the dwarfd resembled Hohenheim down to the last hair, except he opted to wear additional Xerxian robes and leather sandals than wear modern outfits.<\/p>\n

Father continued to wear those robes while living underneath Central, plotting and scheming from the comfort of his throne. He is a feature from a previous era and his choice in attire proves it since he doesn’t dress like a modern Amestrian citizen.<\/p>\n

Mana has the God Tongue, but that gift feels more like a curse to her since she has nowhere left to go in her culinary career.<\/p>\n

Mana feels terrible about that and her family isn’t in great shape, either. At least she looks good in her classy Japanese garb \u2014 she was even wearing fancy kimonos as a teen when she met her future partner, Azami.<\/p>\n

Senku Ishigami and his friends had to make their own clothes from scratch and Tsukasa went above and beyond.<\/p>\n

Tsukasa created his own crude but comfortable red yukata robes, which are light and practical for a busy lifestyle of fighting and hunting in the wilderness. He also wears a cloak made of lion pelts, making him a modern Hercules.<\/p>\n

Nezuko is known for her charming appearance, from her big, innocent eyes to her kind expressions and most of all, her classy pink kimono robes, plus an overcoat. She is nearly always seen dressed this way, though she might remove her coat during a fight.<\/p>\n

Megumin has plenty of faults, but she is also quite smart and her explosions can easily finish a fight if she can aim them correctly. As for her outfit, Megumin wears a red robe with yellow trim, along with orange boots, a cape, and a flashy witch’s hat.<\/p>\n

Jiraiya almost looks like a traditional feudal lord in that attire and Naruto<\/em> fans love him for it. He has a charmingly rustic look befitting a brilliant shinobi like him and he has a stylish headband and wild hair to match.<\/p>\n

Bleach’s <\/em>Kisuke Urahara, like Jiraiya, is a powerful anime mentor who tends to wear Japanese-style robes, including wooden sandals and a hat, for which Ichigo nicknamed him “Mr. Hat-and-clogs.” Kisuke doesn’t mind that nickname at all \u2014 in fact, he seems incredibly fond of robes overall.<\/p>\n

Kisuke was once Squad 12’s Captain, meaning he wore Soul Reaper robes with a white haori coat. Later, after his banishment, he paid tribute to his old uniform with his current green robes, including a diamond pattern similar to the one found on Captain robes.<\/p>\n

He awoke from the iceberg wearing the traditional robes of an Air Nomad monk and he kept that outfit until he discarded it early in Book Three: Fire.<\/p>\n

Aang wore a Fire Nation disguise until he got some new Air Nomad-style robes and he continued wearing such robes well into the Dark Horse comics, which take place after Avatar: The Last Airbender<\/em>. Aang doesn’t mind wearing disguises, but he will keep his traditional robes on whenever he can.<\/p>\n
