Manga Gets New Series in Mid-March &#8211; News"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div>\n<!--INFOLINKS_ON--><\/p>\n<div class=\"intro\">\n<cite class=\"e person\">Makoto Raiku<\/cite>&#8216;s fantasy inspired 2003-06 TV anime, 2 anime films<\/div>\n<hr\/>\n<div class=\"meat\">\n<p>Manga creator <cite class=\"e person\">Makoto Raiku<\/cite> announced on Saturday that the <i><cite class=\"e anime\">Konjiki no Gash!!<\/cite> 2<\/i> (<cite class=\"e anime\">Zatch Bell<\/cite> 2) Series will launch on various digital book services in mid-March.  Raiku will announce the precise launch date when it is decided.<\/p>\n<p style=\"clear:right\">\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"fright lazyload\" width=\"300\" height=\"426\" src=\"https:\/\/www.animenewsnetwork.com\/thumbnails\/max300x600\/cms\/news.5\/183029\/91gpi8jr5tl.jpg\"\/>Raiku is best known for his <cite><cite class=\"e anime\">Zatch Bell<\/cite><\/cite>  (<cite><cite class=\"e anime\">Konjiki no Gash!!<\/cite><\/cite>) manga series, which he launched in <cite class=\"e company\">Shogakukan<\/cite>&#8216;s <cite><cite class=\"e anime\">Weekly Shonen Sunday<\/cite><\/cite>  magazine in 2001 and ended in 2007. <cite class=\"e company\">Shogakukan<\/cite> published 33 compiled book volumes for the series. <cite class=\"e company\">Viz Media<\/cite> released the first 25 volumes of the manga in North America before discontinuing the title.  Viz describes the story:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Kiyomaro Takamine is a brilliant junior high student whose inflated ego (and tendency to blow the grading curve) has made him a major target for teasing at school.  So his father sends him a bizarre birthday present \u2014 a strange little boy named Ga<i\/>sh \u2014 to help him make friends and reform his bad attitude.  Ga<i\/>sh brings with him a mysterious red volume of spells, and Kiyomaro discovers that Ga<i\/>sh has magic powers that are unleashed by reading from the book!
