Upon opening, CitizenM became the 15th in Europe and 23rd globally.

CitizenM has stayed true to its philosophy of providing affordable luxury in a well-connected setting throughout. By staying here, between the Arc de Triomphe and Place de la Concorde, guests have easy access to an array of restaurants and boutiques, as well as two metro stations.

This property is the result of a two-year conversion of an existing 1970s office building off La Boete Street into a modern hotel featuring architectural design by AREP and interiors by Concrete.

Due to its location, about a quarter of the rooms on the front facade overlook Rue la Boétie and the Champs-Élysées. The rest are arranged in a U-shape around a green-filled patio and outdoor seating.

Contemporary design and abundant art

Guests can access their rooms through the design living room, passing a mural by French artist Stephen Burke (known as Lucky Left Hand) along the way.

The living room features golden-age wallpaper by Ai Wei Wei, a set of colorful Vitra sofas and chairs, and artwork such as Andy Warhol’s flowers. A number of carefully selected artworks from CitizenM Collection, which is owned by CEO Ratan Chadha.

Designed for work and relaxation, this living room is filled with books and interesting things, and has a 24/7 kitchen known as CanteenM, serving locally sourced food and drinks including cocktails and coffee. Then the bustling dining area spreads out into the inner courtyard.

The hotel boasts a total of three outdoor spaces: the ground-floor courtyard, the CanteenM terrace and the casual park-style CloudM rooftop bar with views of the Eiffel Tower.

Meanwhile, guest rooms feature attractive amenities such as an extra-large bed, jungle-style shower and entertainment, with many in-room functions controlled by the CitizenM app or MoodPad tablet. Artworks by three French artists – Marie Gillard, Elvir Cayon and Melody Bachet – curated in collaboration with creative agency Starter add delightful finishing touches to the property.

For more information on this scheme, and to view a comprehensive gallery of high-resolution images, check out the CitizenM Paris Champs-Élysées project page on the TOPHOTELDESIGN website.

Exclusive to TOPHOTELDESIGN, we delve into this elegant hotel on the famous Avenue de Champs-Élysées in the French capital, which…

[4

post-514","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-featured","no-post-thumbnail
["GET
