Just before the new year, he added HEB to his Houston market by opening his store in El Dorado in Webster, Texas.<\/p>\n
The 107,000 square foot supermarket, located at 18611 Eastfield Dr. , near the junction of Interstate-45 and El Dorado Boulevard, replaces the former El Camino Real HEB store in Clear Lake. The new store \u2014 which opened Dec. 29 with a Times Square-style soccer celebration \u2014 honors neighboring NASA with a metal plate design that resembles the underside of the space shuttle, San Antonio-based HEB said.<\/p>\n
\u201cI look forward to serving the Clear Lake community and ensuring that our old customers from the previous store continue to enjoy the best that HEB has to offer,\u201d commented Jim Doxakis, El Dorado general manager and HEB employee for 15 years. .<\/p>\n
HEB noted that the new sites focus on convenience, whether customers want to shop in-store for home cooking, order online for curbside pickup or home delivery, or peruse simple meal solutions and HEB meals, which range from salads to casseroles. For heat and appetizers they are designed to provide a restaurant quality meal without the high cost of take out.<\/p>\n
The curbside rendezvous site at El Dorado HE-B is one of the chain’s largest, with 26 parking spaces. The store also has a full-service pharmacy with a window from the car as well as a HEB gas station.<\/p>\n
Highlights of the store include the store’s fresh juices and fresh guacamole; a fresh sushi station that also serves fried rice, noodles, and poke bowls; The cheese section houses more than 300 special types of local and imported cheese as well as a variety of cheese plates and plates; and a full-service scratch bakery and tortillaria serving freshly baked artisan bread daily, fresh tortilla chips, desserts, pastries, and custom cakes. Customers will also find Fresh Meat Market, which offers the store’s natural and premium quality wagyu meat cut in store by certified meat cutters, as well as 100% pure beef in store daily. Meanwhile, the store’s wine and beer division boasts more than 2,000 bottles of wine and more than 300 beers and is staffed by two WSET II-certified partners for customer tasting and pairing.<\/p>\n
Other features include a large selection of products made in Texas; Healthy Living section offering bulk foods (eg nuts, grains, dried fruits and snacks), vitamins, supplements, and natural beauty products; Fish Market offers fresh seafood from all over the world; Texas Backyard Garden Center; and HEB Organics and HEB Select Ingredients, a line of HEB-branded products excluding unwanted ingredients like high-fructose corn syrup and artificial flavors.
El Dorado HEB also has a team of registered dietitians and culinary experts who, along with healthy living product options, provide on-site nutrition and telehealth services to clients.
