Brianna Potter was a fan of fashion brand Lily Pulitzer before she gave birth to her second child last summer in the new Lily Pulitzer maternity wards at Good Samaritan Medical Center in West Palm Beach.<\/p>\n But the townspeople became a huge fan of the popular resort brand four months ago when her daughter Rose arrived.<\/p>\n “I’m more of a Lily fan now because of what it symbolizes to me,” Potter, who wore a pink Lily dress, said in a hospital interview on December 21.<\/p>\n Potter, whose 22-month-old son William was also born in Good Samaritan, spent a week in one of two renovated maternity wards Lily Pulitzer in the hospital.<\/p>\n more: <\/strong>Lily Pulitzer: Five things you probably didn’t know about the Palm Beach fashion icon<\/span><\/p>\n The VIP suites debuted this spring after a six-month renovation, and feature hand-painted floral and ocean murals, Lilly Pulitzer-print bed and window coverings, matching d\u00e9cor and waterfront views.<\/p>\n Patients also receive a concierge service, a VIP food and drink menu, and a matching Lilly Pulitzer Mom and Baby swaddle set.<\/p>\n said Sherry Montgomery, The Good, CEO of Samaritan Medical Center.<\/p>\n “We are excited to create a wonderful birthing experience for our patients with our newly designed suites by adding Lily Pulitzer’s signature look.”<\/p>\n The partnership between Lily Pulitzer and Jude Samaritan began in early 2020 when the hospital was considering ways to modernize its maternity unit, said Kelly Bergstrom, the hospital’s director of clinical nursing for Women’s Services.<\/p>\n Management contacted Lilly for design ideas, and the company agreed to collaborate on the redesign of the unit’s two VIP maternity suites as well as the family waiting room.<\/p>\n \u201cLilly Pulitzer and Good Samaritan Medical Center share a commitment to serving the Palm Beach community, so it is only natural that we are collaborating on this opportunity,\u201d said Michelle Kelly, CEO of Lilly Pulitzer. “We look forward to contributing elements of art and design to bring an extra dose of colour, cheer and optimism to families spending their first moments together in this special place.”<\/p>\n Bergstrom said Lilly’s wings have been popular with new moms since they opened this spring, and there is a waiting list for some patients. “The phone was ringing,” she said. “There are a lot of inquiries online, and all the people who stayed in the room were very happy with it.”<\/p>\n Advance reservations are required for Lilly Suites, and the hospital is working to accommodate expectant mothers who are giving birth early, needing a C-section or longer stays. The suites cost $1,500 for the length of the patient’s stay, Bergstrom said, and the hospital does not pay the amount until the expectant mother is in the room.<\/p>\n Reservations can be made online at www.goodsamaritanmc.com or by calling 561-650-6386.<\/p>\n Potter said she made reservations at Lily’s suites as soon as she learned of their opening. Rose was born in the same room \u2014 before it was remodeled \u2014 where she gave birth to William nearly two years ago, and both experiences were “amazing,” she said.<\/p>\n “Obviously what I love about the room is the view,” she said. “While I worked, I watched the sun rise over the island, and you don’t get that in other hospitals. The presence of the spacious room, the view of the waterfront, and the concierge was a huge draw.”<\/p>\n Potter also commended the nurses and hospital staff for making her feel comfortable and supported during the two birth experiences.<\/p>\n Rose spent a week in the neonatal intensive care unit during the surge in coronavirus cases last summer, and Good Samaritan allowed Potter to stay in Lilly’s ward until her daughter was released.<\/p>\n \u201cI just couldn’t come and go, and they extended my offer to stay here, which is great,\u201d Potter said. “I could see it around the clock.
