The Chevrolet off-road concept, officially known as the Beast, was first seen during its debut at the 2021 SEMA Show in Las Vegas over a month ago. The vehicle’s military-inspired design, paired with 650 horsepower and top-shelf off-road performance hardware, makes the vehicle an absolute beast. This week, General Motors Design showed off some concept sketches showing early design ideas for the off-road vehicle.<\/p>\n

The first is Jayme Starbody’s schematic diagram, which isn’t too far off from what was revealed at the 2021 SEMA Show. The only difference we can see is that the front tow hooks are opaque rather than red.<\/p>\n

The second early design diagram of the Chevrolet Off-Road Concept features the interior, which has certainly seen some changes.<\/p>\n

The original design is relatively modern, with digital displays, switches in the center console, and a simple steering wheel. Additionally, the passenger-side dashboard and center console behind the transmission (much like a manual transmission) feature a modular design with owners’ ability to customize what they want to fill those spaces.<\/p>\n

Chevrolet Off-Road Concept: Details<\/h2>\n

The Chevy Off-Road Concept is based on a modified short-bed Silverado chassis, but with the premium bodywork, it looks more like a real Silverado aura. The car features a Chevrolet Performance LT4 Supercharged V8 engine that produces 650 horsepower, paired with a 10L 90 10-speed automatic. There’s also a two-speed transfer case included in the design as well. Dealing with sand bumps at high speed is a five-link suspension for off-road long distances. Additionally, the concept vehicle features 91-inch wide track and 20-inch Beadlock wheels with 37-inch off-road tires wrapped around them. There’s also Chevrolet’s big performance brake upgrade system.<\/p>\n

As for whether or not you’ll be able to buy one, the Chevy performance engineer said to “make your voices heard” if customers want to see it in production.<\/p>\n
